JUPITER, Fla. – Dustin Cone opened the Abacoa 2-Day with a six under par 66 to take a 2 shot lead into the final round.  With a $2,000 first prize, winning this event will be a strong step towards any player contending deep into the March Q-School Contest.

Steve LeBrun wins by 3, Jimmy Lytle takes Q-School Contest Lead
Five Players (Including Lytle) tie for second at -1 under par 71
March 8, 2010

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Steve LeBrun of West Palm Beach fired a four under par 68 for a three-stroke margin of victory Monday in The Minor League Golf Tour event at the Tournament Players Club at Eagle Trace.

LeBrun eagled the par-5 eighth hole and made birdies at Nos. 4, 5 and 12 after a bogey at the third. It was LeBrun’s 17th MLGT win, his fourth this year. He earned $1,000 from the $7,897 purse.

LeBrun, who won the February Q-School Contest and now leads the March contest, is not eligible to win a second contest in 2010.  This creates a log jam near the top with 2008 MLGT Tour Champion Jimmy Lytle, Chris Borgen, and Mark Brown all within $14.33 of each other.  The money leader for the entire month of March will get their entry into 2010 Q-School paid for by the Minor League Golf Tour.

Adam Adams, Mike Auterson, Chase Carroll, Lytle, and Andrew Streatfeild tied for second place at 1-under par 71 followed by Chris Borgen, Pierre Relecom and David Schuster at even par 72.
