BOCA RATON, Fla. – Brian Lamberti of Granite Springs, N.Y., saved par  from a greenside bunker on the third playoff hole Monday to win a Minor League Golf Tour tournament at Ocean Breeze Golf Club.

After Lamberti and Michael Tobiason of Wilmington, Del., tied at six under par 66 on the South and North nines, they halved the first extra hole par-5s and the second with par-4s.  At the short third, Tobiason missed the green to the right and Lamberti’s tee shot landed in the sand left of the green. Lamberti saved his par, Tobiason could not.

Each made seven birdies and a bogey in regulation. It was Lamberti’s third MLGT title. He earned $900, Tobiason $625, from the $5,687purse.

Scott Ford was third with a 5-under par 67 followed by Patrick Fillian and Craig Hicks at four under par.   Chris Damiano, Adam Fuchs and Vaughn Snyder shot 69.

There were five players in the training division event for less experienced golfers. Daytona Beach amateur Chris Tobias was low with 75.

There was $260 in the Skins Pot with 2 skins out worth $130 each.  Michael Tobiason made 2 on the par-3 eleventh hole and Scott Ford eagled the par-5 thirteenth hole.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Jason Caron of South Yarmouth, Mass., earned his third Minor League Golf Tour title Friday with a bogey-free seven under par 65 on the Estate course at PGA National. Caron birdied Nos. 1, 5, 6, 11, 13, 15 and 17 and edged Steve LeBrun of West Palm Beach by a shot. LeBrun had an eagle, five birdies and a bogey at the par-5 ninth hole for 66. Caron earned $950, LeBrun $600, from the $6,458 purse.

Justin Goodhue of Glastonbury, Conn. and Jimmy Hazen from Miller Place, NY tied for third at 5-under par 67 followed by Chris Damiano, Fernando Figueros, Sandro Piaget, Robert Rohanna and 2006 MLGT Tour Champion Adam Fox (who had his first hole-in-one on #10) at 3-under par 69.
 

The MLGT’s 12th tournament of the year had 56 starters, including LPGA veteran Sue Ginter of Appleton, Wis., who matched par 72 to tie for 21st.

There was $330 in the Skins Pot with 3 skins out worth $110 each.  Steve LeBrun made a 2 on the par-4 first hole, Adam Fox made a hole-in-one on the tenth hole with a seven iron and Kyle Moore eagled the par-5 eighteenth hole.

JUPITER, Fla. – Richard Terga of Palm Beach Gardens posted a bogey-free six under par 66 Thursday at Abacoa Golf Club to beat the largest field in the history of the Minor League Golf Tour. Terga, an instructor at the John Webster Golf Academy at the Breakers Hotel in
Palm Beach, birdied Nos. 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 13 and won by three strokes.

It was Terga’s 18th MLGT victory but his first since June 12, 2008. He earned $1,235 from the $9,784 purse.

There were 84 entries with six of them tied for second place at three under par 69; Matt Anderson, Nick Beddow, Yohann Benson, Sunny Kim, Mike San Fiippo and Pierre-Henri Soero.  The next 5 players at 70 tied for eighth, 4 more shot 71 and eleven players finished at even par 72.  
Event Results

There was $500 in the Skins Pot with 4 skins out worth $125 each.  All skins were tied today.  All the other holes besides 2 and 8 had at least 3 birdies or eagles.  When all holes are tied, MLGT policy is to distribute the skins money to the least halved hole(s). Matt LeConche and Robert Rohanna eagled the par-5 second hole and Richard Terga and Jimmy Hazen made 2 on the par-3 eighth hole.

The February Series Event 3 at Hammock Creek will be played Monday February 22nd - Wednesday February 24th to give participants in the February Q-School Contest the opportunity to attempt to qualify for the PGA Tour Honda Classic on Thursday February 25th.  Get The Qualifier Details Here
