Justin
Hicks Wins Playoff With Casey Wittenberg, Earns 1st Nationwide Tour
Title
June 29, 2008
CLARKSBURG, Ontario - A
two shot swing on the 17th hole, a birdie by
Justin Hicks
and a bogey by Casey Whittenberg, gave Hicks a share of the lead for the
second time during the final round. After both players made par on
the par-5 18th hole, they went back to the tee to play it again. Whittenberg found trouble,
allowing Hicks to secure his
first victory on the Nationwide Tour with his second consecutive par on
the hole.
Hicks, who was tied for the lead after the first round of this year's US
OPEN, is our 2006 Money Title Winner and current Tour Championship
winner. He has won 16 times on the MLGT.
Congratulations Justin! |
