Nick Kenny fires a 3-under par 69 to lead $37,080 March Major

High winds bring high scores, more wind in the forecast

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Nick Kenney shot a 3-under par 69 to capture the lead in the first of four 2012 GOLFslinger.com Tour Majors. All four Majors will have a $10,000 first place share.

Windy conditions proved very difficult as Kenney was the only player in the 76 contestant field to break 70. In addition to the $10,000 added in first place, $2,000 more was added into the purse from ranking period 1 and players that did not play in the ranking period that had to "buy in" to enter this event.

There was $340 in the Day 1 skins pot with 4 skins out worth $85 each.
