Vaughn Snyder (66) wins first Fuzion MLGT event by 3 over Tim Cantwell

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Vaughn Snyder of West Palm Beach scored his first MLGT victory at the Santa Lucia River Club with a six under par 66, winning by three strokes over Tim Cantwell of Palm Beach Gardens.

Snyder had seven birdies and a bogey, Cantwell six birdies, a bogey and a double bogey. Snyder earned $650, Cantwell $450, from the $2,909 purse.

Terry Burke, Jimmy Lytle, and Kyle Willmann tied for 3rd place, three shots behind Cantwell at even par 72. There were 24 players in the 90th open division tournament of the season, including four senior division players who played in both flights by paying a supplemental entry fee.

There was $160 in the skins pot with 3 skins out worth $53.34 each.
