WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Bobby Collins of Palm Beach Gardens has won for the fourth time in the last seven events over 15 days on the Fuzion-Minor League Golf Tour. Collins scored 65-69—134 to win by two strokes Thursday in the ZONEOUT sponsored event on the Breakers Rees Jones Course. He eagled the par-4 13th hole the first round, holing a 117-yard wedge shot. Overall, he also made 13 birdies and five bogeys, earning $2,000 from the $10,915 purse. A former Nationwide Tour player and John I. Leonard High graduate, Collins, has a career total of eight MLGT victories.

Alejandro Garmendia of Weston was second among 36 starters with 70-66—136 on 13 birdies and five bogeys. He received $1,425 while Carlos Velez of Miami picked up $1,200 for his solo third place finish with a pair of 69's.

Scott Marino of Tequesta, Ben Silverman from Delray Beach and Matt Springer of Stuart tied for fourth place at 5-under par 139. Springer was 3-under par on the 442 yard par-4 second hole. He birdied the long dogleg in the opening round and holed a 5-iron for an eagle 2 today, which propelled him to a 6-under par 66 and a win in the second day shootout.

Jimmy Lytle finshed in a tie for 7th, putting him over $20,000 for the year AND at $99,995.63 in his illustrious MLGT Career. Lytle has amassed 30 MLGT victories, winning as an amateur in 2007, the Tour Championship and Match Play Championship in 2008, he won the money title in 2009 and won 2011 Q-School Contest 5. He less than $5 away from becoming the first MLGT $100,000 man.

The MLGT plays two tournaments next week: Tuesday, Jupiter CC, and Thursday-Friday, Miccosukee CC, Miami on the same course that the Nationwide Tour Miccosukke Championship will be contested on next month.
