Sunny Kim blisters Jacaranda (64) to edge Jimmy Lytle by a shot

PLANTATION, Fla. – Sunny Kim of Palm Beach Gardens won for the second time on 11 days on the Golfslinger.com Tour with a final round of seven under par 64 Thursday on the East course at Jacaranda Golf Club. Still, at 137, Kim won by only a single shot as Jimmy Lytle of Ocean Ridge closed with 68 for 138, second among 44 starters.

Kim did not make a bogey and had seven birdies, at Nos. 1, 2, 4, 7, 9, 11 and 14, making up four strokes on the first round leaders. Kim opened at two over par 73 on three birdies, as many bogeys and a double bogey at the par-4 seventh hole. He earned $2,000 from the $12,385 purse to add to his $1,000 for his victory Jan. 23 at nearby Eagle Trace. He has 16 Golfslinger titles altogether.

Golfslinger has three 18-hole tournaments scheduled next week: Tuesday, Winston Trails GC, Lake Worth; Wednesday, Abacoa GC, Jupiter; and Thursday, Boca Raton GC.
