Kyle Willmann shoots 6-under par 66 to win by 2 shots

JUPITER, Fla. – Kyle Willmann of Edmond, Okla., fired a six under par 66 Monday at for his 10th victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour, his third this year. Playing at Jupiter Country Club, Willmann, 32, made four birdies on each nine and bogeyed the 10th and 12th holes to win by two strokes. He received $1,000 from the $2,990 purse, raising his career Golfslinger earnings to $48,387 since February, 2008. There were 20 starters.

Alfredo Adrian of Venezuela shot 68 to finish 2nd followed by Alejandro Garmendia of Weston, FL in third place with 69. Pierre-Henri Soero of Palm Beach Gardens was fourth at 2-under par 70.

The tournament also marked the start of the third two-week bonus competition in which the leading money winner will be awarded $1,000 toward entry into Monday qualifying for a PGA or Nationwide tour event later this year. Other tournaments to be included are May 16-17, Jacaranda GC, Plantation; May 21, PGA National-Champion course, Palm Beach Gardens; May 22, Club at Emerald Hills, Hollywood; and May 24, Links @ Madison Green, Royal Palm Beach.

There was $90 in the skins pot with 9 skins out worth $10 each.
