Scott Hawley and Jimmy Lytle share victory in first event of 2011 Q-School Contest 1

Wet, Windy, conditions delay play, Darkness prevents playoff

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Jimmy Lytle of Ocean Ridge and Scott Hawley of Shrewsbury, Mass., were declared co-champions Monday in a Fuzion-Minor League Golf Tour tournament when darkness prevented a playoff.

They had tied at two under par 70 and received $775 each from the $6,273 purse. Lytle made six birdies, including four straight starting at the 13th hole, two bogeys and a double bogey. Hawley had one birdie on each nine. Prior to the tournament, Lytle earned 24 MLGT victories, Hawley four.

Brian Friederichs of Boca Raton, FL tied for third with Derek Fathauer of Jenson Beach, FL and 2010 Q-School Contest 1 winner Jon McLean at even par 72.

There was $270 in the skins pot with 3 skins out worth $90 each.
