Jacob Korb fires a 6-under par 66 to win by 1 over Oakley & Peters

Six Players tie for fourth at 4-under par 68

LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Jacob Korb of Jupiter and Newtown, Pa., made four consecutive birdies on the inward nine Thursday and pulled out the victory in the Fuzion-Minor League Golf Tour tournament on the South course at Fountains Country Club.

After making the turn in 34 with three birdies and a bogey, Korb birdied 12, 13, 14 and 15 for a six under par 66 and won by a stroke. It was his seventh career MLGT title, his first since Nov. 1, 2010. He earned $1,000 from the $7,237 purse.

Zac Oakley and Justin Peters tied for second place at 5-under par 67 followed by 6 players who tied for fourth. Ben Hartman, Amateur Dylan Healey, Matt Hungerman, Q-School Contest 2 Leader Derrick Bohannon, Champions Tour Player Kirk Hanefeld and Nationwide Tour Player Ryan Armour all shot 68. The MLGT’s 29th tournament of the year had 60 players.

Matt Hungerman won the entire skins pot with an eagle at the first hole.
