BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - In a separate 18-hole stroke play event at Indian Spring Country Club (for players who were not in the Match Play semifinals) Carlos Velez of Miami claimed his second MLGT victory, scoring a four under par 67 on the west course with five birdies and a bogey. He received $525. There were 14 starters.

David Smith finished 2 back with 69 and Gregory Della-Pietra finished 3rd with 71 in his first event as a professional.

There was $70 in the skins pot with 10 skins out worth $7 each
