JUPITER, Fla. – Sunny Kim of Palm Beach Gardens eagled the par-4 11th hole two days in a row enroute to a victory Thursday on the Fuzion-Minor League Golf Tour at Abacoa Golf Club.

Kim, 22, shot 68-67—135 with four birdies in each round, a double bogey at the 16th Wednesday and a bogey at the 17th Thursday. His first round birdies were at Nos. 4, 6, 10 and 15; and at first, fourth, 15th and 16th the second day.

It was Kim’s 11th title since he joined the MLGT in October, 2006, his second this year following a win Jan. 13 at The Evergreen Club in Palm City. He earned $2,000 from the $10,830 purse.

In the MLGT’s 107th event of the year, Bobby Collins of Palm Beach Gardens and Ryan Garrity of Jupiter tied for second among 38 players with matching scores of 69-67—136. They received $1,250 apiece.

The MLGT has three 18-hole tournaments next week: Tuesday, Fountains CC-North, Lake Worth; Wednesday, The Evergreen Club, Palm City; and Thursday, Club at Emerald Hills, Hollywood. Fountains, originally listed Monday, was moved back one day to avoid conflict with Miccosukee Open qualifying at Plantation Preserve and Jacaranda GC in Plantation.

There was $200 in the Day 2 Skins Pot with 3 Skins out worth $66.67 each.
