Brian Lamberti wins 3 hole playoff over Turpen & Soero

ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. – Brian Lamberti of Granite Springs, N.Y., birdied the third extra hole Tuesday to earn his fifth win on the Golfslinger.com Tour. After they tied at five under par 67 at The Links at Madison Green, Lamberti outlasted Pierre-Henri Soero of Palm Beach Gardens, who hit his tee shot into the water at the par-5 second hole, and Tim Turpen of West Palm Beach, who made his par-4 the third.

In regulation, Lamberti had an eagle, four birdies and a bogey; Soero made seven birdies and two bogeys, one at the 18th hole; and Turpen scored his seventh birdie of the day at the 18th after two bogeys earlier in the round. Soero edged Turpen by a shot, and Lamberti by 2 in Monday’s Golfslinger tournament at The Evergreen Club in Palm City.

Lamberti received $1,000 from the $5,592 purse. Soero and Turpen, tied for second among 45 players, collected $550 apiece.

There was $210 in the skins pot with 5 skins out worth $42 each.
