STUART, Fla. – Brandon Smith of West Palm Beach earned his 10th Golfslinger.com Tour victory Thursday, winning by two strokes at the Champions Club on rounds of 68-70—138. Between an eagle at the par-5 fourth hole Wednesday and a double bogey at the par-4 16th hole Thursday, Smith had eight birdies and two bogeys. He received $2,000 from the $12,300 purse.

Tied for second at 140 were Justin Hicks of Royal Palm Beach and Stephen Grant of Palm Beach Gardens. Hicks, headed back to the Nationwide Tour next month, bogeyed the last two holes for 75-65, while Grant shot 71-69. Each collected $1,250. Career-wise, Hicks has 22 Golfslinger titles, Grant two.

The eighth tournament of the Golfslinger’s ninth season drew 41 starters. The final event of the month is scheduled Monday at Binks Forest in Wellington.

There was $210 in the Day 2 skins pot with 6 skins out worth $35 each.
