Brad Adamonis shoots 68, wins by 1 shot

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Brad Adamonis of Coral Springs and Cumberland, R.I., fired a four under par 68 for his third Golfslinger.com Tour victory Thursday at Boca Raton Municipal Golf Course. Adamonis made five birdies and a bogey while runnerup David Griffiths of St. Simons Island, Ga., also had five birdies but bogeyed twice for 69.

It is the first time Golfslinger, formerly known as the Minor League Golf Tour, has played The Boca Raton course. The tour began in 2004 and has staged 846 events. The 13th tournament of the year had 43 starters.

Three 18-hole events are scheduled next week: Monday, TPC @ Eagle Trace, Coral Springs; Tuesday, Ironhorse GC, West Palm Beach; and Thursday, Fountains CC-North, Lake Worth. Fountains-North will also host pre-qualifying for the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic on Feb. 23.

There was $200 in the skins pot. Brad Adamonis won the whole pot with his birdie on #3.
