Derrick Bohannon fires a 66, Grabs Q-School Contest 5 Lead

Clayton Gamber III and Sunny Kim tie for second with 67

PLANTATION, Fla. – Derrick Bohannon of Jensen Beach and Shelbyville, Ky., played bogey-free golf Monday for a five under par 66 to win a Golfslinger.com Tour event on the East course at Jacaranda Golf Club.

Bohannon birdied Nos. 1, 5, 9, 11 and 14 to win by a stroke over Sunny Kim of Palm Beach Gardens and Clayton Gamber III of Doral. Kim made six birdies and two bogeys, Gamber five birdies and one bogey.

It was Bohannon’s 20th Golfslinger title, his fourth this year and second this month. On July 10, he edged Kim by a stroke, 65-66 at the Links @ Madison Green in Royal Palm Beach. Kim has 20 Golfslinger victories, Gamber two.

There was $120 in the skins pot with 5 skins out worth $24 each.
