2009 Tour Champ Eric Cole eans 52 points, wins by 3 over Devin Kay

LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Eric Cole of Orlando won a Stableford points tournament conducted by the Golfslinger.com Tour at Winston Trails Golf Club. Cole shot 64 on his own ball Monday and earned 52 points, earning $1,000 from the $2,385 purse. It was his sixth Golfslinger victory.

Other winners Monday were Dan McCarthy, Palm Beach Gardens, and Brett Macias, pro-amateur teams, 85 points, and Stevenson Clarke, West Palm Beach, low amateur, 44 points. Sunny Kim of Palm Beach Gardens, who had won the last four Golfslinger tournaments, failed to cash a check.

The Golfslinger’s 86th tournament of the year drew 15 players in the pro division. A 36-hole “major” is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday at Bear Lakes CC with the winner guaranteed $10,000. There were 68 entries by Monday evening.
