Ben Silverman & Chris Scialo pull away from field
Silverman's 63 earns him his 10th GOLFslinger Tour win

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Ben Silverman of Palm Beach Gardens, edged Chris Scialo of New City, N.Y., 63-64 by making birdies on his last three holes for a one-stroke victory in the Golfslinger.com Tour event at West Palm Beach Municipal Golf Course Wednesday.
Playing in the first group, Scialo started about 45 minutes before Silverman. Coincidentally, both birdied Nos. 2, 3, 5, 7 and 9 to turn in 30, and they also birdied the 10th hole. Scialo added birdies at 11, 12 and 17 but bogeyed the par-3 14th while Silverman closed with the previously mentioned birdies at 16, 17 and 18.
It was Silverman’s 10th victory. He earned $1,000 from the $4,725 purse and raised his career earnings to $54,515 since he joined Golfslinger in September, 2010. Scialo, second among 35 players, has three wins and $12,896 since November, 2010.
The Golfslinger’s final tournament of the month will be played Thursday at the Links @ Madison Green in Royal Palm Beach. Seven more events are scheduled in December prior to the Christmas holidays for a total of 122 for the year and 955 since August, 2004.
There was $150 in the skins pot with three skins out worth $50 each.
