Yoshio Yamamoto shoots 68, wins by 1 shot over 3 players

PLANTATION, Fla. – Yoshio Yamamoto of Guadalajara, Mexico, fired a three under par 68 Wednesday to earn his first victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour. Playing the East course at Jacaranda Golf Club, Yamamoto made six birdies and three bogeys to win by one stroke.
Yamamoto, 28, whose U.S. home is in Myrtle Beach, S.C., was making his fourth start since joining the Golfslinger Tour earlier this month. He received $1,000 from the $4,000 purse, nearly doubling his previous earnings of $1,010.
David Schuster of Turner Hill, MA, Brad Adamonis from Cumberland, RI, and Eric Cole of Orlando tied for second at 69.
The Golfslinger.com Tour has added an event to its schedule, Friday on the Osprey Creek course at Martin Downs CC in Palm City. The tournament was rained out last week. Following a tourney Monday at Hammock Creek GC, also in Palm City, Golfslinger’s first of five “majors” of the year will be played next Thursday and Friday at the Champions Club in Stuart. The top 50 on this year’s money list will pay a reduced entry fee. The winner is guaranteed $10,000.
There was $140 in the skins pot with 3 skins out worth $46.67. each.
