Bogey Free 69 in Windy Conditions Earns Greg O'Mahony 11th Tour Win

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Greg O’Mahony of Tequesta played a consistant, bogey free, 3-under par round in very windy conditions on Tuesday at Bear Lakes Country Club. The event was held on the Lakes Course to give many players a chance to play a tournament round on the same track that they will be attempting to qualify for the 2012 US Open on May 14.

Greg O'Mahony's 69 gave him a 1 shot margin over Mike Balo of Stamford, CT and earned him his eleventh GOLFslinger.com victory.  O'Mahony started hot with birdies at the first and third holes, he added another birdie at eleven, then parred in.   Balo's round was streaky.  He started with consecutive bogies at three and four, then made three birdies in a row on #10, #11 and #12.  After a bogey at the par-3 fourteenth he finished with birdies on #17 and #18.  

Three players tied for third at even par 72, Will Coleman of Kensington, MD, Jordan Holley from Greensboro, NC, and Guillermo Pumarol from the Dominican Republic.

O'Mahony won his first GOLFslinger.com event on this course back in September 2009, and won both the 2010 GOLFslinger.com Tour Championship and 2010 Sunshine State Classic.

There was $190 in the skins pot with 2 skins out worth $95 each.
