FOR ALL THE PLAYERS WHO SIGNED UP PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE: YOUR NAMES HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE CASTING DIRECTOR AND YOU CAN CHECK-IN AFTER 12:30pm ON SUNDAY AT BINKS FOREST.

AT THE TIME OF CHECK IN YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED AN AUDITION TIME, MOST LIKELY STARTING AROUND 2PM. 50 AMATEURS WILL BE AUDITIONING IN THE MORNING PRIOR TO THE PROFESSIONALS. (there is an WGTA amateur event starting at 11:30)

VERY IMPORTANT MUST READ------from the casting director

Binks Forrest Golf Club has been gracious enough to allow us to use their facility to hold these auditions but they have kindly asked us not to interrupt their normal course of business. The Driving Range only has 12 hitting areas and they have given us two of them for the day, allowing only 10 for their customers and members.

One will be used for the auditions and the other will be used for players to warm up. The other 10 Stalls are STRICTLY OFF LIMITS, except for participants in the tournament, they can use any stall. The course is also requiring each person who is auditioning to purchase a $3.00 warm up bucket. (except for WGTA tournament participants, balls are included) you will need to save 6 balls for your audition. Please do not buy a larger bucket because you will not be given the time to hit them all.

At Check in you will need to fill out a 5 minute half page questioner. (name, address, eye color, shoe, shirt and pant sizes etc...) Actual audition will take approximately 5 minutes.

The camera will do a close up of your face while you state your name, Your Golf Accomplishments, and handicap. (practice in the mirror prior to Sunday)

Camera will pan to your hands, you will need to show both your palms and the backs of your hands.
They will film your grip with the club down and the bottom of your grip with the club up.

The camera will pull back and film 6 swings. two facing you, two behind you and two over your front shoulder. THEN YOU ARE DONE.

We have been contacted by a representative of a Casting Director who is holding a casting call to look for 10 amateur or professional golfers to shoot a commercial for Golf Pride Grips. If You are chosen you will be paid $1,500.00 for the day as "local talent" so it will not affect those that have amateur status. We were told they are not looking for actors just nice looking swings. It will be on Sunday at Binks Forest, the day prior to our 2-Day event

This will be a three step process: auditions, callback, shoot commercial.

1) Auditions

For Amateurs -- auditions will start at 9:30am February 19th at the Binks Forest Golf Club prior to the WGTA Amateur Event which starts at 11:30am

For Professionals -- auditions will start after all the Amateurs have auditioned, most likely between 1-5pm on February 19th at the Binks Forest Golf Club.

2) Aproximately 25 individuals will be called back on February 25th in Miami to meet with the Golf Pride reps and perform a 2nd audition.

3) 10 of the 25 will be chosen to shoot in Miami on Monday the 27th and each will be paid $1,500.00. The commercial is slated to run in Venezuela. Player expenses will not be reimbursed.
