Jon Curran's 8-under 64 on Monday earned him a spot in this week's Puerto Rico Open on the PGA TOUR at Trump International Golf Club. Today, he took advantage of the opportunity and fired a 6-under par 66 to finish his opening round 1 shot back of the leaders, in a tie for third place.

Curran, has 3 GOLFslinger Tour victories in 14 starts since joining the tour last fall, including a T7 finsh in the Major at Champions Club last Friday where he closed with a 68 before heading over to Puerto Rico for the Monday Qualifier.

Four time GOLFslinger Tour winner John Stolz also Qualified on Monday with a 6-under par 66.

37 time GOLFslinger Tour winner Steve LeBrun is at 5-under par 67 and the players in this weeks Puerto Rico Open have combined for over 60 GOLFslinger Tour victories.
