Ben Silverman from Juno Beach, FL found himself with a 2 shot lead on the 72nd hole of The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic and admitted to getting way ahead of himself thinking he already won the tournament. After hitting 2 balls in the water on 18 he had to make a 3 footer for double bogey and force a playoff. He made the putt and a par on the 1st playoff hole would earn him his 2nd win on the Korn Ferry Tour.
This one meant a lot to Silverman as he was playing on a sponsors invitation. He does have past champions status but likely wouldn't have gotten many starts without Monday Qualifying. This win will give him full status for the rest of 2023 on the KFT and be a big stepping stone in him earing a PGA Tour card for 2024.
