SAN MARTIN, Calif. – After ending 2012 with a victory (on December 19th) in the GOLFslinger Tour Championship, Brooks Kopeka has had quite a year in 2013.
Brooks won twice on the GOLFslinger Tour in March 2013, before going to Europe and winning 3 times on the Challenge Tour. He won the Montecchia Golf Open in May, and the Fred Olsen Challenge de Espana and the Scottish Hydro Challenge in June, earning him an automatic spot on the European Tour for the remainder of the season.
The battle field promotion to the European Tour earned him a spot in the 2013 British Open Championship AND garnished enough attention to get a special exemption into the PGA Championship at Oak Hill where he played with Tiger Woods in the final round.
Now, after another sponsors exemption, Brooks has played himself to the top of the leaderboard of the PGA Tour's FRYS.com OPEN. Play well and Good Luck!
