NORTH PALM BEACH, FLA. - Minor League Golf Tour Director Scott Turner fired an bogey free opening round 67 followed by a 3 birdie, 3 bogey, even par final round to win in his first tournament since getting his Amateur status reinstated earlier this month.  His margin of victory in the Palm Beach County Golf Association Tire Kingdom Stroke Play at Lost Tree Golf Club in North Palm Beach was 3 shots.

Scott and Gil Turner

It was a special win for Scott, having his father Gil Turner, an accomplished golfer, following along as he earned the trophy. Over the years Gil has been there so many times as his son played, but Scott has not been able to compete the last few years while awaiting his reinstatement. Over the past year Gil has been dealing with health issues so this was a special day for both of them. Scott really wanted to win this event for him. We're so glad he did!
