WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Steve LeBrun from West Palm Beach, FL, wins the Minor League Golf Tour's Web.com Q-School contest #3 in a sudden death playoff over Team FIP member Justin Hicks. The contest consisted of back to back 2-day events with the low 4-day total score winning a full paid entry into 2017 Web.com Q-School.

LeBrun won the first 2-day event at Indian Spring CC with a 14-under par total of 128 (64-64). LeBrun shot 67 in the 3rd round at PGA National Estates Course to carry a 5 shot lead (-18) over Justin Hicks (-13) into the final round. LeBrun and Hicks were tied entering the 72nd hole and Hicks knocked it on the par-5 finishing hole in 2 while LeBrun was just short of pin high in the left rough. He chipped on to 7 feet. Hicks narrowly missed his eagle putt for the win and tapped in for birdie. LeBrun knocked his 7 footer in for birdie to force a sudden death playoff. Both men went to the first hole to begin the playoff. Hicks left his birdie bid just short from 14 feet which opened the door for LeBrun. Steve stepped up and knocked his 11 footer for birdie in the back of the hole for the win and will have his 2017 Web.com Q-School entry fee paid by the Minor League Golf Tour.

2017 Q-School Contest #3

Congratulations Steve and good luck later this year at Web.com Q-School!

Steve LeBrun

LeBrun won a Q-School Contest on the Minor League Golf Tour in 2010, 2011 and now again in 2017. After his playoff win he said, "That was a big win for me. I'm still paying off credit card bills of the last 5 years (2012-2016) of Q-School entries. Getting my Q-School paid for is huge." People fail to realize how tough it is mentally to keep chasing your dream when the skys aren't always bright blue. Congratulations Steve and good luck getting back to the PGA Tour!

The Minor League Golf Tour's Web.com Q-school Contest #4 will take place June 19-22. One full paid Web.com Q-school entry fee is guaranteed at any number of players. Any number over 25 players will go towards the 2nd place finishers Web.com Q-school entry fee, and if 50 players participate, 2 full paid Web.com entry fees will be paid.

The MLGT would like to thank Indian Spring CC and PGA National for being such great host venues.
