PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Gavin Hall of Pittsford, NY, made some early successes hold up Wednesday with a closing round of four under par 68 and got his 13th victory on the Minor League Golf Tour.
Hall eagled the par-5 first hole on the Fazio course at PGA National Monday enroute to a 69, birdied the first five holes Tuesday and finished with 63-132 for the 36-hole lead, then added five more birdies the final round.
In 54 holes, after the opening eagle he made 18 birdies and four bogeys for 16-under-par 200, three up on Brant Peaper of nearby Tequesta. Peaper also opened with an eagle, adding 14 birdies, a bogey and a double bogey for scores of 67-69-67-203.
It was Hall's second victory in less than two weeks following a win Aug. 20 at Fountains Country Club-West. He collected $2,750 from the $12,095 purse here, raising his career earnings to $39,668 since he joined the MLGT three years ago.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Matt Hill from Palm Beach Gardens, FL came out firing with birdies on 4 of the first 5 holes. He would play the next 10 holes even par and finish with birdies on 16 and 17 for a 6-under par 66 on the Fazio course at PGA National.
One shot off Hill's lead is Brant Peaper at 67. He also started out hot at -4 through 4 holes after an eagle and 2 birdies. He did not make a bogey on day one.
The top 40% (12 and ties) will make the 36 hole cut and play Wednesday. After day one exactly 12 players are at -1 or better. Any players missing the cut or not playing in the 3-day event will have the option to play in a 1-day event at PGA National Fazio on Wednesday.
