ORANGE PARK, Fla. - Jimmy Dales from Northville, MI needed 57 holes to claim his first professional win at the 2025 Clay County Open at Eagle Harbor Golf Club. In regulation Dales, Derek Bard and Ryan Cole tied at 18-under par. On the first extra hole all three men hit their approach shots to the par-4 inside 7 feet. All three made their birdie putts and moved on to the par-5 2nd. Dales made a 20 foot birdie putt from off the green while Bard had 10 feet for birdie and Cole had 5 feet for birdie. Bard's birdie bid to stay alive slid by the left edge while Cole made his to move on to the 3rd. Cole's 2nd shot on the par-4 missed the green just long right while Dales had 25 feet for birdie. Cole's chip would scoot past the hole by 15 feet. After Dales two putted for par Cole could not convert his par effort securing the win for Dales.
Dales earned $10,000 from the $62,320 purse, Cole and Bard $5,000 each. Cole added $482 from the bonus pool for a total of $5,482. Cole recently won 2025 Major I and the $10k first place check there.
