HAYWARD, Calif. - Stephan Jaeger from Munich, Germany, wins the Ellie Mae Classic on the WEB.com Tour after breaking history in the opening round. Jaeger birdied his final hole of the opening round for 58, the lowest score ever recorded on the PGA or WEB.com Tour. He followed the historic 58 with rounds of 65-64-63 for a 30-under par total of 250 and a 7 shot victory.
Jaeger's 30-under par total matches the lowest in WEB.com Tour history set by Daniel Chopra in 2004 at the Henrico County Open.
Jaeger won twice on the Minor League Golf Tour in January of 2016 while he was tuning up his game right before hitting the road to play on the Web.com Tour.
Congratulations Stephan on a record setting week and good luck the rest of the year on your journey for your 2016/2017 PGA Tour card!
