CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Chris Scialo of New City, N.Y., made six birdies and a bogey on his first seven holes Monday, then finished with 11 straight pars for a one-stroke victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour at TPC Eagle Trace.
Scialo birdied the 10th, 11th and 12th holes, bogeyed the 13th, then birdied Nos. 14, 15 and 16. It was his fourth victory since he joined Golfslinger in November, 2010. He received $1,000 from the $5,377, raising his career earnings to $16,393.
Olin Browne Jr. of Tequesta was second among 44 players with 68 on seven birdies and three bogeys. He collected $600.
Fernando Figueroa of El Salvador tied for third place with Ben Vertz of Coral Springs, Florida at 3-under par 69.
There was $180 in the skins pot with 3 skins out worth $60 each
