WESTON, Fla. - Eric Cole of Orlando made 4 birdies on his way to a 2-under par 70 and his 7th victory of 2013. Playing the Tour course at Weston Hills, Cole shot 34-36 to win by 3 shots over Hector Zapata of Weston.
Cole, was recently was in Lisbon, Portugal with Greg O'Mahony at the first stage of European Tour Qualifying School. Both players advanced to the next stage with Greg O'Mahony finishing T9 and Eric Cole T11. Cole is currently third on the 2013 GOLFslinger Tour money list and O'Mahony fourth.
This week there are two first stage WEB.com Tour Qualifiers in Florida at Quail Vally GC in Vero Beach and at Grasslands Golf and CC in Lakeland.
The GOLFslinger Tour plays Tuesday at Abacoa GC in Jupiter and Thursday on the North Course at Fountains CC in Lake Worth.
