PALM CITY, Fla. – Josh Hart of Jupiter made a birdie putt from seven feet on the second extra hole Thursday to get his first victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour. With his two rivals looking at par putts – one from inside a foot – after they tied at two under par 69 on the Osprey Creek course at Martin Downs Country Club, Hart birdied and collected $650 from the $2,698 purse, raising his career earnings to $5,093 since February, 2008.

Tied for second among 19 starters were Jimmy Hazen of Miller Place, N.Y., and Scott Turner of Palm City, FL. They received $512.50 apiece. In regulation, Hart had four birdies and two bogeys, Hazen made two eagles, three birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey, and Turner scored three birdies and a bogey. Heretofore, Turner had eight wins, Hazen three.

This was Golfslinger’s 114th tournament of the year. Five of the last six have gone extra holes. Two more events are slated next week and there are seven on December’s pre-Christmas schedule.

There was $100 in the skins pot with 6 skins out worth $16.67 each
