CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Dan McCarthy of Syracuse, N.Y., fired a five under par 67 Monday at the TPC Eagle Trace for his 20th victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour. McCarthy made six birdies and a bogey, at the par-5 15th hole, to win by two strokes. He earned $925 from the $5,270 purse.
Brad Adamonis and Alfredo Adrian tied for second place with 3-under par 69's.
Golfslinger’s ninth tournament of the year drew 34 starters. Next on the schedule: Wednesday, West Palm Beach GC, and Thursday, Jacaranda GC, Plantation.
The first “major” of the year is scheduled Feb. 4-6 at CC of Coral Springs. At 40 players (40 were registered at 9pm on Monday Jan. 27th) the winner will receive $7,000. That amount increases to $10,000 for 78 or more players.
