CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Evan Beirne of North Haven, Conn., survived three bogeys on the inward nine Monday to claim his second victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour. Beirne posted a one under par 71 at the TPC Eagle Trace to win by a stroke.
After birdies at Nos. 1-2 and 7-8 sandwiched a bogey at No. 6, Beirne turned in 33, bogeyed the 10th hole, birdied the 13th, then bogeyed 14 and 16. He received $600 from the $1,960 purse, raising his career earnings to $6,050.50 since January, 2012. His first Golfslinger title was on Feb. 15 at Fountains CC, Lake Worth.
