CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Carl McCauley of Parkland survived bogeys on the last two holes Wednesday to score his fifth victory on the GOLFslinger.com Tour, all this year. McCauley fired a one under par 71 at TPC Eagle Trace with four birdies (Nos. 4, 5, 9 and 13) and his first of three bogeys at the 11th hole.
McCauley received $600 from the $1,015 purse, raising his career earnings to $28,195. He has played GOLFslinger regularly since May, 2012.
Amateur Douglas Ebe (a) of Ljunghusen, Sweden shot 74 to finish 2nd and Amateur Jared Carver (a) of Wichita, KS shot 76 to finish solo third. They earned Gift Certificates of $300 and $115 respectively.
There were seven starters in GOLFslinger’s 69th tournament of the year. The Tour next plays Thursday at North Palm Beach CC.
