NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. – Derrick Bohannon of Shelbyville, Ky., won for the second time this week on the GOLFslinger.com Tour with a four under par 67 Thursday at the North Palm Beach Country Club.
Bohannon, a seasonal resident of Stuart, won by a shot with five birdies and a bogey, compared to four under 68 Monday on six birdies and two bogeys at the Jupiter Country Club.
He collected $600 from the $1,170 purse to go with Monday’s $625, raising his career earnings to $98,272.75 with 26 victories since joining GOLFslinger in May, 2006. There were eight entries.
Yesterdays winner Carl McCauley tied for 2nd with Zac Oakley 1 shot back
GOLFslinger has one of its “majors” scheduled Monday and Tuesday on the Fazio course at PGA National in nearby Palm Beach Gardens. With at least 40 entries, the winner will receive $6,000, or $10,000 with 60 or more.
