STUART, Fla. – Brandon Smith of West Palm Beach made seven birdies in a bogey-free round of 65 Monday at the Champions Club at Summerfield for his 26th victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour. Smith birdied Nos. 6, 8, 9, three in a row from the 14th and then the 18th. He received $600 from the $1,000 purse, raising his career earnings to $78,597 since October, 2005. He won twice as an amateur before turning pro in January, 2010.
Jordan Elson of Kenosha, WI finished second at 2-under par 70, followed by Justin Dorward of Port St. Lucie at 1-under par 71 in third.
