LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Greg O’Mahony of Tequesta won for the 20th time on the Golfslinger.com Tour when his playoff opponent, Patrick Rada of Anderson, S.C., hit his tee shot on the first extra hole into the water left of the fairway Thursday.

They had tied at four under par 68 on the South course at Fountains Country Club. Rada subsequently missed a 15 footer for par and O’Mahony made a three-foot par putt for the win. Rada is still looking for his first Golfslinger victory in eight starts since January, 2012.

In regulation, O’Mahony eagled the par-5 15th hole and added three birdies and a bogey. Rada had five birdies and a bogey. O’Mahony received $620 from the $2,783 purse, raising his career earnings to $83,585 since August, 2009. Rada collected $500 Thursday and has totaled $1,050 in his few Golfslinger appearances.

The 111th tournament of the year drew 23 starters. Two more pre-Thanksgiving tourneys are scheduled next week, Monday at West Palm Beach GC and Tuesday at Jacaranda GC, Plantation.
