AIEA, Hawaii - Jared Sawada of Millilani, Hawaii won the first Minor League Golf Tournament in Hawaii. Sawada, a Japan Challenge Tour member, shot an even par 72 to win by 2 shots over Ryan Nagata of Honolulu.
Jared Sawada birdied the 1st and 5th holes to turn in 2-under par 34. After a bogey on the par-3 13th and a double bogey on the par-4 15th, he managed to make a third birdie on the par-5 17th hole to get back to even par. Ryan Nagata made 1 bogey and 1 birdie on the front nine to turn at even par 36, but made 3 bogies and 1 birdie on the back nine to finish with 74.
