WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Olin Browne Jr. of Hobe Sound, FL fired a six under par 66 with five straight birdies on the back nine of the Breakers Rees Jones course Thursday to claim his third victory on the Minor League Golf Tour.
The son of Champions Tour veteran Olin Browne Sr., Olin Jr., 27, made eight birdies and two bogeys, starting his string of birdies at the par-5 12th hole and ending it with bogey at the par-3 17th. He also birdied Nos. 6, 9 and 10 and bogeyed the eighth hole.
Browne has career earnings of $12,456.30 since July, 2009 after collecting $1,000 from the $6,175 purse here. He got his first win as a professional golfer at a MLGT event in July, 2011.
Tarik Can of Miami Beach, FL was second among 48 starters with a bogey-free five under 67 followed by Jesse Larson of Mendon, VT in 3rd with 68.

The MLGT plays its third "major" of its 12th season Monday and Tuesday at Abacoa GC in Jupiter. The winner will receive $3,000, or $6,000 if there are at least 45 entries.
