WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Jon McLean of Weston birdied the last hole for a five under par 67 and a one-stroke victory Wednesday in a Minor League Golf Tour event at West Palm Beach Municipal Golf Course.
The son of renowned golf instructor Jim McLean, Jon, 28, made seven birdies – five on the last nine holes – and two bogeys. It was his sixth MLGT win since January, 2010. He received $600 from the $2,440 purse, raising his career earnings to $31,555.
The 44th tournament of the year drew 20 players. The MLGT plays again Thursday at the Champions Club in Stuart.
