JUPITER, Fla. – Vaita Guillaume of Tahiti, playing in his first Minor League Golf Tour event, fired back-to-back six under par 66's to win the 11th annual MLGT Tour Championship at Abacoa Golf Club.
Guillaume, 27, whose American home is in Raleigh, NC, did not make a bogey in 36 holes. He had an eagle at the par-5 10th hole and four birdies, two on each nine, the first round, and six birdies, three on each side, in the final round, to win by three strokes.
He earned $10,000 from $37,000 purse which included $2,723 in added money from the Minor League Golf Tour. The 104th MLGT tournament this year drew 74 entries.
There was $840 in the Day 2 skins pot with just one skin out. Matt Springer chipped in from 10 yards off the par 5 2nd green for eagle.

The Palm Beach County-based mini-tour has six one-day events over the next two weeks before taking a break for the Christmas holidays.
JUPITER, Fla. - Dan McCarthy from Syracuse, NY, got off to a hot start and carries a 2 shot lead into the final round of the 2015 Tour Championship at Abacoa Golf Club. McCarthy started on the 10th hole Wednesday and birdied 6 of his first 7 holes, then birdied his last hole for a bogey free 8-under par 64.
Entering the final round just 2 shots back and tied for 2nd are Steve LeBrun from West Palm Beach, FL and Vaita Guillaume from Tahiti. LeBrun made an eagle, 5 birdies, and 1 bogey while Guillaume played a bogey free round that included an eagle and 4 birdies.
