WESTON, FL – Brad Adamonis of Cumberland, RI, overcame a double bogey on the back nine of the Tour course at Weston Hills Country Club on Thursday and rolled to his 14th victory on the Minor League Golf Tour.
After birdies at Nos. 1, 4, 10 and 12, Adamonis, 43, made double bogey at the par-4 13th hole. His drive was headed for the right rough but was never found. He parred the next four before closing with another birdie at the 18th for 69, winning by three. He received $550 from the $1,170 purse, raising his earnings to $53,600 since February, 2005. Adamonis has a Florida home in nearby Coral Springs.
Jimmy Lytle from Ocean Ridge, FL, was tied with Adamonis through 15 holes but ended up shooting an even par round of 72 to finish 2nd alone. Lytle had 4 birdies and as many bogies.
