JUPITER, Fla. – Jordan Elsen of Kenosha, Wis., made a two-putt par on the first playoff hole Tuesday at Abacoa Golf Club to claim his sixth victory on the Minor League Golf Tour. Elsen outlasted Abacoa's Assistant Professional Logan Brown after they tied at five under par 67. Brown missed a four-foot par putt moments after Elsen made his.
In regulation, Elsen eagled the par-5 second hole and added three birdies. He did not make a bogey and received $700 from the $3,680 purse, raising his career earnings to $25,035 since June 2013. Brown bogeyed the first hole in regulation play, then added three birdies on each nine, collecting $560. It was his first MLGT start this season as he has played sparingly since February, 2013, earning $841.
Elsen won the 2010 WSGA Wisconsin State Amateur Championship and the 2010 WSGA Wisconsin State Match-Play Championship and was the 2010 WSGA Player of the Year. He is currently home from competing on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica where he had a 5th place finish recently.
