PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – By Tuesday, Mike Miller of Brewster, NY, had turned the low score of the tournament on the first day into his sixth win on the Minor League Golf Tour.
Playing the Estate course at PGA National, Miller posted 64-69—133 to win by two strokes. He had an eagle and six birdies for 29 on the last nine holes Monday, four birdies and a double bogey Tuesday. He eagled the par-4 13th hole the first round, double bogeyed the par-4 sixth in the final round. He received $2,000 from the $11,230 purse, an additional $630 from an optional bonus pool and $166.67 in the skins game for a total of $2,796.67. This raises his career earnings to $26,504 since February, 2016.
Josh Hart of nearby Jupiter was second among 42 starters at 135, scoring 67-68 on 11 birdies overall and a pair of bogeys each day. He has seven wins since joining the MLGT in February, 2008. He received $1,300 from the main purse and $510 from the bonus pool, boosting his career earnings to $40,992.
