BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Steven Burak of North Easton, MA, fired a two under par 70 Sunday for his second victory on the Minor League Golf Tour. Burak made three birdies and a bogey on the East course at Indian Spring Country Club to win by one shot.
It was the first time in a dozen 18-hole tournaments, or since the season opener Jan. 3, that the winning score had not been below 70. He birdied Nos. 7, 10 and 15 and bogeyed the par-4 11th hole. He received $850 from the $4,325 purse, raising his career earnings to $6,658 since November, 2015.
Tied for second at 71 among 34 starters were Bryden Macpherson of Melbourne, Australia, with a birdie at the par-5 16th hole; Lucas Duperre Vanden Hecke of Montreal, three birdies and two bogeys; and Eric Dietrich of Cheshire, CT, with six birdies, three birdies and a double bogey.
