PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Brad Gehl of Carmel, Ind, fired rounds of 67-66 to win 2018 Qualifying School Contest #4 on the Palmer course at PGA National.
Gehl started the final round tied with Andreas Halvorsen Berg at -5. He was 5-under par through 14 holes of the final round and -10 for the Qualifying School Contest. Felipe Velazquez, who started the day at -4, birdied 6 holes in a row (11-16) to get to -11 but an ill timed triple bogey on #17 derailed his chances. Gehl birdied #17 to get to -11 and take a 3 shot lead to the final hole.

29 players participated in the Qualifying School Contest which created a prize pool of $5,800. After Gehl's $4,500 first place check, $1,300 was to go towards the 2nd place finishers Q-School entry fee. Andreas Halvorsen Berg and Felipe Velazquez tied for 2nd at 136 and decided to split the money and will each receive $650 to put towards their Q-School entry fee.
