LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Gavin Hall of Pittsford, NY, birdied the third extra hole Saturday for his second victory on the Minor League Golf Tour. Hall outlasted Chad Bricker of Waynesboro, PA, and Thomas Henderson of Sterling, MA, after they tied at two under par 69 on the West course at Fountains Country Club.
In the playoff, the trio matched par-4's on the first extra hole and par-3's on the second. At the par-5 third, all three were on the green in regulation. Henderson missed his birdie putt from 15 feet, Hall made his from 6 feet and Bricker missed from 5 feet. In regulation, Hall made three birdies and one bogey, Henderson five and three, respectively, and Bricker four and two.
Hall collected $725 from the $3,480 purse, raising his career earnings to $9,769 since September, 2017. Henderson and Bricker received $500 apiece. Henderson got an additional $183 from the optional bonus pool.
The MLGT’s 42nd tournament of the year drew 27 starters and another 14 in the Training Division. Keiser University golfer Arnaud Galand (a) of West Palm Beach, FL won the TD by five strokes at two over par 73.
Two 18-hole events are scheduled next week: Monday at Parkland CC and Wednesday at the Florida Club in Stuart.
