ATLANTIS, Fla. – Olin Browne Jr. of Hobe Sound, FL eagled the first hole and never let up the rest of the way Thursday at Atlantis Country Club to win for the 13th time on the Minor League Golf Tour.

Browne won by a stroke over Davey Jude of Kermit, WV, 65 to 66. Browne added five birdies. Jude made seven birdies and a bogey to finish second among 29 entrants. Browne received $700 from the $3,520 purse, $223 from an optional bonus pool and $53.34 in the skins game for a total of $976.34. Jude earned $744.34, including $525 from the main purse, $166 in the bonus pool and $53.34 in skins.

This event was the conclusion of Monday Qualfying School Contest #8 presented by Abacoa Golf Club. The player with the lowest cumulative score from the three 1-day events this week won a $1k bonus to compete in a Monday qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
