WELLINGTON, Fla. - Jesus Rivas Garcia from Bogota, Colombia earned his first win on the MLGT with a 3-under par 69 at the challenging Wellington National Golf Club. He overcame two bogies with five birdies en route to the only sub 70 round of the day. He earned $925 from the $4,680 purse.
Kevin Talty and Mackenzie Nelson tied for 2nd just one shot behind Garcia. Both are looking for their first win as well. They each earned $562.50.
Today's event was a tune up for the Honda Classic Pre Qualifier on February 20th. A big thank you to Wellington National and their members for hosting so the players could see the course under tournament conditions before the qualifier next Thursday and good luck to all MLGT players competing in the qualifier.
