PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Chris Wiatr of Jupiter, FL and Woodbury, CT, fired his second straight eight under par 64 Tuesday for his fourth victory on the Minor League Golf Tour.

Playing the Fazio course at PGA National, Wiatr made an eagle, seven birdies and a bogey Monday, eight birdies Tuesday to win by two strokes. He collected $1,900 from the $10,195 purse and an additional $455 from an optional bonus pool to raise his career earnings to $59,470 since he first played on the MLGT in January, 2016.

Jon Curran of Jupiter, FL, the first round leader with 63, slipped to second on 67-130. In 36 holes he had an eagle and 12 birdies. He did not have a bogey and received $1,668, including $368 from the bonus pool.

Joaquin Lolas of Juno Beach was third at 135.

Trey Wren won $177 in the 2nd day shootout with a score of 68.

Next on the schedule will be an 18-hole tournament Thursday at The Falls Country Club, then another two-day event next Monday and Tuesday at Plantation Preserve Golf Club in Plantation.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Jon Curran from Jupiter, FL made an eagle and 5 birdies on the back nine for 29 and an opening round of 63 on the Fazio course at PGA National. He had 2 birdies on the front nine and avoided any bogies during the opening round.

2018 Tour Champion Chris Wiatr from Woodbury, CT birdied his final 2 holes for 64 and will enter the final round just one shot behind Curran.

Playing along side Curran was Joaquin Lolas who an eagle, a double bogey and 7 birdies en route to an opening round 65. Sunny Kim was the third member of the group carding a 3-under par 69.

There is an OPTIONAL $50 2nd day shootout for players that are outside the money after day one (73 and higher). If you would like to participate you must sign up and pay online before the first tee time on Tuesday. No exceptions.
